Superintendent Search

Superintendent Search

The Appleton Area School District Board of Education has begun the search process for a new superintendent who will begin duties on July 1, 2022. Appleton Area School District Superintendent Dr. Judy Baseman has been a part of the AASD for twenty-six years. During this time, she has served the District as an assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and is in her fifth year as the Superintendent of Schools. We are appreciative of her service to the Appleton community and wish her well in her next steps.

The Board has selected Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB), an educational search firm, to assist with the superintendent search. The first step in this process is to create a Superintendent Profile, using input gathered from an online survey and focus groups. The Superintendent Profile will guide us in the selection process.

Focus Groups and Community Survey Completed
Our Superintendent Search consultant conducted several focus groups, and provided an online community survey, to help develop a Superintendent Profile. The profile will be used by the School Board to screen candidates during the selection process. Thank you to all who participated.
