Registration and Enrollment for 4K, New, and Existing Families

The Appleton Area School District requires enrollment for new students (4K - grade 12) and annual registration for existing students (KG - grade 12).

Enrollment for the upcoming school year for new students begins in July.
 Annual registration for existing students is now open.

What do I need for Enrollment/Registration?

The parent/guardian should be prepared to complete an online application containing demographic information, emergency contact phone numbers, name and phone number of your child’s doctor, medical information, and language information.

After your child’s online application has been submitted, you may be asked to provide a birth certificate and immunization records to your student’s school.

Meet and Greet Events

Please find information specific to your child’s school on the district or school website under Our School and then Registration.

  • The 4K Meet and Greet events for community sites take place the fourth week of August, and is an opportunity for families to tour their 4K site, meet their child’s teacher, and drop off school supplies. Meet and Greet for school host sites take place in elementary schools as described below. 
  • The elementary Meet and Greet event at your child’s school usually takes place the week before the first day of school and is an opportunity for families to meet their child’s teacher, principal, and other staff members, as well as drop off school supplies.
  • The middle and high school meet and greet event is different at each school. Some schools hold their event in late August, and others in early September. Parents and guardians are encouraged to tour the school, follow along with their student’s schedule and meet staff, teachers, and administrators.

2019-20 Online Enrollment for 4K Students 4K

Are you interested in enrolling your child to attend Appleton Community 4K for the 2019-2020 school year? Any child who will be four years old on or before September 1, 2019, is eligible. 

Online enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year will be available starting February 4, 2019 for 4K students.

If you are a parent/guardian of an existing AASD student or have already enrolled in Appleton Community 4K, you can log in to the parent portal with the username you provided and your password.

You will also select this option if you have an existing student in the AASD, and have another child in the household who is new to AASD (for example, enrolling a new kindergarten or 4K student who is the sibling to a current 4th-grade student).

If you are a new parent/guardian enrolling a new student into the AASD for the 2018-19 school year, and you do not have a username and password or any existing student(s) enrolled in the AASD.

*** The preferred Internet browsers are Google Chrome and Firefox, and please make sure to allow pop-ups for the online enrollment process. Mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) cannot be used for this process.

If you have forgotten your username or password you can retrieve this information from the parent portal by selecting “Help”.  If you need further assistance please contact the district IT Helpdesk via phone (920-993-7062 ext. 0) or email (, you will need to validate your personal information for account creation.


Is My Data Accurate and Complete?

To ensure data accuracy, make sure that all of the information is correct and complete. Here are some questions that can help with the data review:

  • Are there any siblings (sisters or brothers) or guardians missing from the household?
  • Is there anyone listed in the account that should not be listed?
  • Are the relationships to the student correct?

Important Notes

  • Every parent will need a valid email address to add to the Infinite Campus Parent account. If you do not have an existing email address, you can create one for free. Some of the more prominent free email sites are:

  • If you complete the online enrollment portion before your building registration you may not need to attend onsite registration sessions. Please see your student’s school website for further details.
  • Onsite registration sessions are available for families needing assistance in completing the online registration process. If you require assistance, please reference your student’s school website for more information on registration session dates.
  • Don’t forget to submit your online enrollment application (big red submit button) once all student information has been entered and verified.

What Can I Do Online?

The online registration process allows a parent/guardian the ability to complete the following:

Additional options available via the Parent Portal include:

  • Pay school fees (available July 23 through the Portal)
  • Add money to meal accounts
  • Complete the Federal Meal Benefit Application (available July 9). If you feel that your child/ren qualify for free or reduced meals or waived school fees (including those attending CEP schools*), please complete the Meal Benefit Application.
*Current schools on the CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) program for 2018-2019: Columbus Elementary, Badger Elementary, Horizons Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Johnston Elementary, and Wilson Middle School.
