10th Anniversary School Youth Build OPEN HOUSE

Please join us as we celebrate the completion of this year’s School Youth Build Home and 10 years of building hope, student skills and affordable homes in our community! Construction Technology students from Appleton East, West and North High Schools will showcase the home they built from the “ground up” this school year.

The students are excited to welcome you and beaming with pride to share their craftsmanship and all of the building skills they’ve learned along the way!

2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. - Welcome and Project Remarks from Wisconsin Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch; Brian Schimming, WHEDA Deputy Executive Director/COO; Debra Dillenberg, AHA Executive Director; Karen Harkness, City of Appleton Community & Economic Development Director; and Lee Allinger, AASD Superintendent; followed by Ribbon-cutting Ceremony with Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce.

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. - Student Meet & Greet, Home Tours and Refreshments

Learn more about this innovative partnership, as well as how the Appleton Housing Authority’s commitment to creating affordable housing for families in need and support of career-based student learning has helped the AASD to continue to offer this key Construction Technology course to Appleton high school students for the last decade.
